Calling The Celeb-Look-A-Likes

Have you ever been told you look like a celeb? For me this is becoming virtually an every occurrence. My comparisons have ranged from the most bizarre (Katy B -seriously cannot see it myself) to the highly flattering, Natelie Portman. Admittedly it's lovely bein compared to beautiful women in the spotlight however, it can only get a bit tiresome when people begin to address you, with what they think are, hilarious puns aka Beccy-del-rae.

I would love to put an end to the disputes so lovelies comment and tell me; Who you think is most accurately my celeb look-a-like? Also do you have a celeb look alike? And do you find it a compliment or a tad insulting?

For now as old as its getting, Beccy-del-rae does have a ring to it, furthermore being referred to an "English Rose' like the beautiful Natelie Portman I secretly enjoy.

Lula Loves

This shoot is based around the beautiful Lula de la Falaise. I'm guessing, that like me at first, you are querying who Lula de la Fraise was? She was a fashion muse and designer of fashion, accessories, and jewellery associated with Yves Saint-Laurent.

A little bit of background of Lula

Daughter of an Fashion Model -she too had a dabble in NY at modelling for the likes of Vogue

Designed printed fabrics for Halston

junior editor at the British society magazine 'Queen'

-this is where she befriend Saint Laurent

Close friend to the creative director of YSL, she designed for there haute-couture firm (1972)

Unique eccentric style were reflected which her works, producing often-chunky designs incorporating large colourful stones, enamel work or rock crystal

2002, Saint Laurent retired, and so after three decades of designing Jewellery and accessories she launched her own fashion business, designing ready-to-wear, costume-jewellery, and accessories

The clothing line's captured much of her rare and individual style. Her signatures included tailored blazers (using English tweeds), French Sailor pants, striped silk blouses with black lace edging to add extra flare, masculine walking coats with fur linings, and fabulous knits in her selective colour schemes.

Memo To Self Look Up

Did I Hear You Say Smize?

So, I started University this year and boy, it has been filled with some many unexpected outcomes! -this included. Within my first few weeks I was approached, in the most unlikely of places; a nightclub's toilets, to take part in a student's catwalk. Although I am one of the most self-conscious people you will ever meet, (and yes I have been told this is hard to believe but trust me it's true,) I thought it may help me settle into my new "pond" (moving location) and hopefully meet some lovely people, not to mention hopefully spy on some hunky men -I was not wrong.

The Catwalk was to showcase some of the past student's work, whilst provide the University of Central Lancashire's Fashion Styling students a chance to test their skills to host and arrange the rest of the show around the theme; "Global Threads". The catwalk was to introduce the new exhibition being opened at the Harris Museum, Preston,and so us models had to strut our stuff around the glorious Museum's interior.

It was such a fun night, and like I said I met some lovely people! Also in the fashion industry they say it's all about the contacts contacts contacts, and so by doing this I hope I have got my footsteps a little further into the industry. Would definitely recommend anyone who gets the opportunity to do something like this to give it a whirl. If I can, and thankfully manage not to fall face first, and you definitely can! -if it does not act as a confident boost then take full advantage of checking out them yummy upper torso's of the male models ;)
